CEP 841Classroom Management in the Inclusive Classroom:
Summer 2012 Professor: Troy Marriage
This course focused on managing a classroom made up of all different types of learners. This course offered great insight as to managing a classroom of various abilities as well as accommodations or modifications that can be implemented to help each child be successful. The course was completed using various texts and video clip reflections as well as numerous discussion boards we participated in. The evidence I have included was a required written assignment describing how we effectively motivate a struggling student.

TE 842 Elem. Reading Assessment Instruction
Summer 2012 Professor: Annie Whitlock
This course focused on the characteristics of effective reading assessments and instruction identified as research based best practice techniques and strategies. We had opportunities to analyze and critique assessments, as well as create our own. This course was completed through various readings, lectures, and discussion board participation. The evidence I have included is a paper I composed describing ways to make your small groups more effective.

TE 846 Accomm Diffs Literacy Learners
Summer 2012 Professor: Erin Jurrand
TE 846 focused on creating and accommodating struggling literacy learners, and differentiating instruction to meet the needs of all of your students. We had the opportunity to analyze and respond to sample case studies, and choose a struggling learner to work with. We administered assessments and from the data results, created accommodations for that specific struggling student. The evidence I have provided, is my final case study project outlining and detailing my work completed with my struggling student.

ED 800 Concepts Educational Inquiry
Fall 2012 Professor: Steven Weiland
This course was self paced, and focused on introducing and familiarizing students with the online program. ED 800 also gave insights into the history of education and ideas behind the strategies that we consider "best practices. We analyzed educational ideas, beliefs, and methods of instruction, as well as the reasoning behind each. The evidence I have uploaded is one of our many written module assignments. This particular written assignment was important to me because it focused on the significance of self reflection of who we are as individuals and as educators.

CEP 843 Autism Spectrum Disorder: Characteristics & Educational Implications
Fall 2012 Professors: Summer Ferrari, Laura Flis & Strasberger
This course focused on the characteristics of individuals who were on the Autism spectrum as well as research on Autism Spectrum Disorder and the impact it has on learning. We had the opportunity to conduct research on our own, and reflect upon several language based research articles creating a final project synthesizing the articles we had chosen. I chose to upload my final article presentation to showcase the work I had completed during this course.

CEP 832 Educating Students with Challenging Behavior
Spring 2013 Professors: Evelyn Oka & Vicki Mousouli
This course focused on the many challenges we may face in the classroom with student behaviors, and ways to manage our classroom accommodations to minimize behavior challenges. we had the opportunity to choose a struggling student or type of challenging behavior we were experiencing in our classroom, and create an ABC project. During this project we had to define the targeted challenging behavior, identify underlying possible causes of the misbehavior, and create and implement accommodations or modifications to minimize the behavior occurrences. I have uploaded my final ABC project submission assignment.

CEP 842 Content Instruction Mild Disabilities
Spring 2013 Professors: C. Okolo & C. Peterson
This course focused on the principles for teaching content area subjects in inclusive classrooms while supporting learning for all students. We also discussed many instructional "best" practices for providing differentiated instruction and making adaptations and accommodations in these content areas when necessary. We had to choose one disability that we would like to research more about and create a Power Point presentation that we could use in our own districts as part of a professional development session. I chose to focus my research on Attention Deficit Disorder, and have included my final presentation.

TE 818 Curriculum in it’s Social Context
Spring 2013 Professor: Kyle Greenwalt
This course was rather different than most of the traditional classes I have taken throughout my educational journey. The class was conducted solely using a "blog" to respond to content and reflect on our learning. We were responsible for contributing feedback to other classmate's blogs as well. TE 838 Children’s Literature and Film
Summer 2013 Professor: Laura Apol
For this course we will be comparing many different movies to the corresponding books. The course begins by looking at different aspects of film as well as the purpose of said films. Next we will analyze different stories and their respective books and movies. We will be using Charlotte's Web, Harry Potter, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Wizard of Oz, Little Mermaid to complete these analysis.

ED 870 Capstone Seminar
Summer 2013 Professor: Matthew Koehler
ED 870 is the final course of my masters program. It focuses on creating this website as a professional portfolio. We completed house discussions, created and maintained our portfolio website, and participate in virtual discussions using different platforms.
